Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.gdoni.blog. We are an independent, not-for-profit blog and our aim is to promote and develop recreational walking in Northern Ireland.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect the following information via our contact forms:
- your email address (optional – if you wish to receive a reply to your message)
This information will only ever be used to reply to a query to the site. It will not be stored in a database or passed on to any third parties.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded video content. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Jetpack Stats (we do not use Google Analytics)
Data Used: IP address, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.
Important: Grand Day Out (NI) does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, we can see that a specific post has 285 views, but cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses — are retained by Automatic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.
The site honours DNT (Do Not Track) settings of visiting browsers.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise any follow-up comments or related issues.
Where we send your data
Contact Form submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Otherwise we do not share your data with any third party.
How we protect your data
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
